IN GOOD COMPANY
This historical building is the perfect backdrop for a craft market. Here you can track down Hanseatic tradition and, wrapped in thought on your stroll through the largest preserved medieval burgher house in the Old Town, you can even take a peek at the kitchen where the housekeeper cooked for the gentlemen of the house. The narrow staircase leads up to the family bedrooms and even higher into the attic where the maids and errand boys had their rooms. Art treasures, murals on ceilings and walls bear witness to the prosperity of these proud merchants. Around 40 artisans exhibit their most beautiful works in the vaulted cellar and hallway.
There are many different types of work on offer: fine woodwork, paintings, hand-sewn items, jewellery and pottery. Besides high-quality crafts, there are also culinary delights: hot soup, tasty cakes and hot drinks.
