Open-air stages

Lübeck's open-air stage is located in the historic ramparts on the south-eastern edge of Lübeck's old town. It was opened on June 6, 1927 to celebrate the city's 700th anniversary of imperial freedom and has offered a varied program ever since. During the summer months, especially between June and September, it presents children's plays, summer thrillers and occasional open-air concerts. The stage is run with great passion by the Zander and Sommerfeldt family and creates a special theater experience for all age groups.
