Detailed description
The famous Café Niederegger with its Marzipan Salon is located in the heart of the old town directly opposite the town hall. On the second floor, the café presents the history of the "harem confectionery" and takes visitors on a long journey through time, from the Orient to Lübeck over many centuries. An unmissable attraction are the 12 life-size personalities made of marzipan: from Hans Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen to Thomas Mann and Wolfgang Joop, all fans of the famous Niederegger marzipan.
Opposite the main building, the Arkadencafé invites you to linger with its elegant interior and sun-drenched market terrace. From there, you have a wonderful view of Lübeck's Rathausmarkt.
