We take responsibility
SHAPING TOMORROW TODAY
Representatives of the local tourism sector, the city administration and committed citizens have drawn up an ambitious tourism vision for the Hanseatic city of Lübeck which defines the framework for the future development of tourism and the target range for 2030 through guidelines. Lübeck and Travemünde stand for responsible tourism and mutual appreciation. Read more about our guidelines or if you want to know all the details, you can find our Tourism Development Concept Lübeck and Travemünde 2030 here.
Becoming a sustainable destination is a joint effort that depends on the cooperation of all involved in a spirit of partnership. In 2021, we established a network consisting of hoteliers, restaurateurs, cultural institutions and many more besides in Lübeck and Travemünde in order to seize the initiative and turn our common vision into reality. We will be happy to tell you why we decided to go down the path of certification with TourCert in Lübeck and Travemünde.
The SDG - Sustainable Development Goals - are 17 goals adopted by the United Nations (UN) in 2015 which are intended to help us achieve sustainable development on a global scale by 2030. Global goals will only become reality through commitment on a municipal level, and for that reason, we in Lübeck have recognised the SGDs and embraced a path of sustainable urban development.
Responsibility very specifically in local enterprises and institutions
