"Bürgergärten"

Located in the heart of Lübeck’s Old Town, between the Hospital of the Holy Spirit and Museum Behnhaus Drägerhaus, the Bürgergärten are a small park made up of several interconnected gardens and offer a peaceful place to spend some time.

To reach the Bürgergärten, head towards the Geibel monument and turn right into the cobbled lane. The gardens feature paths, seating areas and a variety of sculptures. They also offer interesting views of the rear façades of Lübeck’s historic town houses.

The artworks include a bronze sculpture based on an original by Georg Kolbe, a memorial to booksellers who died in the First World War, as well as other sculptures and works of art from various foundations and institutions.
