The three people and two figures reminiscent of devils have a humorous background.
Detailed description
The street Fegefeuer leads to the streets Domkirchhof and Paradies, the relief is located in the street Fegefeuer and is reminiscent of a courtyard popularly known as "Hell", which is surrounded by the numbers 15 to 23. It probably got its nickname from the man who paved the courtyard, as he was supposedly nicknamed the "devil".
Like the relief of the lawyer, "Die Hölle" was created by the Lübeck sculptor Otto Mantzel. The terracotta relief from 1936 is still a reminder of this joke by the citizens.
