"Schulgarten"

Located directly by the Wakenitz, the Schulgarten was first established in 1913 to introduce schoolchildren to gardening and applied biology. After the Second World War, the garden was restored and is now open to visitors free of charge. Colourful perennial beds alternate with themed garden areas such as the Alpinum, as well as ponds and meadows. The Schulgarten is just a short walk from Lübeck’s Old Town island.
