Children explicitly welcome! The HanseKulturFestival offers a varied programme especially for young Hanseatic citizens. And we are not talking about cotton candy and carousels. For you there is a very special playground. You can enjoy yourselves freely, attend exciting shows or make your own souvenirs. Two separate children's areas offer a colourful programme of hands-on activities. Additionally, a lot of residents have exciting surprises in store for you. Have fun!
Kids' programme
Handmade Children's Festival
Sat. and Sun., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. • Kleiner Bauhof
Once again, our young visitors will have their own colourful playground with lots of fun and games. This time, the Kleiner Bauhof with a view of the Cathedral will be transformed into a world of fun. Many hands-on activities await you and you can get active: braiding, painting jute bags, making flower wreaths and, of course, face painting for children. And if you get hungry or thirsty, there will be drinks and delicious foods waiting for you. Meanwhile, your parents can relax by the Obertrave.
Geschichtserlebnisraum
Fri.-Sun., 11 a.m.-6 p.m. • Cathedral Meadow
The Geschichtserlebnisraum is a must at every city festival! Together with the Lübecker Jugendring, Zeytreise e.V. and the Hansevolk zu Lübeck, a wonderful camp will be set up right next to the time-honoured walls of the magnificent Cathedral. Medieval workshops and historical costumes will create a relaxed and exciting family area. Try various crafts from the Middle Ages yourself. Under experienced guidance and in a historical setting, various workpieces will be created to take home, and with the Hansevolk you will learn everything about merchant trade and life during past time.
