History experience room

The Roter Hahn historical experience area in Lübeck-Kücknitz is an open children's and youth facility that has been offering a unique environment for actively experiencing history since 1999. On the extensive grounds, visitors can explore historical buildings, such as reconstructed medieval houses, and learn about old breeds of domestic and farm animals that are threatened with extinction. The educational concept encourages initiative and creativity through activities such as building wooden huts, making fires, craft projects and garden and landscape maintenance. There are also programs for schools on topics such as Stone Age techniques and medieval crafts. The site is freely accessible all year round and invites visitors to go for walks.
