Stumbling stones in Lübeck

The Stolpersteine are not quite a typical stopover, after all they are scattered throughout the city in many places. 237 (as of 12.3.2024.) can be found in Lübeck's cityscape, about half of them on the Old Town Island.The golden brass plates always have the same design with the name and dates of birth, deportation or arrest and death of the person concerned and can be found in front of the former place of residence. Reason enough to pause for a moment, remember these people and become aware of the cruel crimes of National Socialism.
