Theater23

Since 2009, theater23 has been showing lively comedies in the romantic ambience of the historic swimming pool on the Wakenitz. Located just 600 meters east of the Old Town Island, the outdoor swimming pool complex, built in 1899 and listed as a historic monument, has retained its very special charm: the wooden changing rooms and bathing jetties are still used for bathing. For the theater performances after bathing hours, there has been a floating stage for several years. Both the stage and the audience sitting on rustic wooden benches on shore have a rainproof roof.

Performances at Theater 23 take place only during the summer season. Outside of this period, the stage remains closed.
