University of Lübeck

Campus Open Air Lübeck (COAL) is an annual music festival held on the campus of the University of Lübeck. Originally launched in 2011 as part of the "Lübeck fights" campaign to preserve the university, it is organized by the General Students' Committee (AStA) and run by student volunteers. The festival offers a varied music program with bands from different genres as well as a wide range of food and drinks. Admission is free and no registration is required. COAL sees itself as a hate-free zone in which respectful and polite interaction is encouraged.
