Christmas is hope

A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

Especially during unstable times as these, we need a little glimmer of hope every now and then. Enjoying a mulled wine together - we no longer take that for granted. That makes it all the more valuable and worthy of protection. Together, careful use of natural resources must become a priority for several reasons, because they cannot be taken for granted either. The fact that the lights are going out everywhere this winter is painful, because especially at Christmas, light is such a special sign of hope that we don't want to give up completely. Perhaps you have already noticed that our Christmas lights in Lübeck no longer shine around the clock. In 2024 the lights will shine for you from 4 pm to 10 pm every day. That way, we are making a contribution to saving energy without completely sacrificing the cosy Christmas feeling. Both the Christmas lights above the streets and the lighting of the individual stalls have been using energy-saving LED lights for years. That's why this year we are placing special emphasis on not heating the outdoor area unnecessarily. Radiant heaters and heat lamps belong in the past. Nevertheless, we hope that we can warm your heart with the Christmas Capital of the North.
