Festive cheer and Christmas market magic await you around Lübeck Town Hall and on Schrangen.

Simply follow the twinkling lights as you enjoy a leisurely stroll through the market. Countless Christmas stars, strings of lights and beautifully decorated fir trees create an enchanting winter atmosphere. The crisp winter air is filled with the tempting aromas of roasted almonds, Mutzen pastries and mulled wine. You’ll also find grilled sausages and plenty of other tasty treats. At the many stalls around the Town Hall and on Schrangen, a wonderful variety of Christmas arts and crafts awaits – from traditional tree decorations and toys to regional products and unusual gift ideas. Christmas markets have a long tradition in Lübeck’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, with the first documented mention dating back to 1648. Today, the historic buildings provide the perfect Advent backdrop for the festive bustle around the market square and Schrangen.

There’s also a place for volunteering and community spirit: ePunkt e.V. presents its work and programme in the “Merry Vereinshütte”, inviting visitors to discover the many ways they can get involved as volunteers.
