The Provost Churchof the Sacred Heart of Jesus

This is the only Catholic church on the Old Town island.

It is much more than just a place of services on Sundays. The church is open every day from morning to evening for silence, prayer and meditation, and in the side aisle you will find the Lübeck Martyrs' Memorial. Exchange and encounter are held up high in the Sacred Heart parish and music always plays a significant role in the services as there are four church choirs in total.
