The gallery’s programme includes paintings, watercolours, prints and sculptures of the Classical Modern as well as numerous contemporary artists, among them Eduard Bargheer, Ernst Barlach, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Emil Nolde, Max Liebermann, Wilhelm Busch, Günther Uecker and Kim Reuter.

This programme is presented on the one hand through individual exhibitions and on the other at art fairs in Hamburg and Karlsruhe. The gallery’s original establishment was set up in Hanover in 1955. From 1969 onwards, it was also represented in Lübeck, and since 1974 it has been located in a baroque gabled house from the 17th century. The gallery has been jointly run by Stefan Westenhoff and Meike Zimmer since 2009.
