The Taschenoper Lübeck reinvents opera.
Since 2005, the Taschenoper has been presenting music theatre for children and, since 2022, for all adults who are curious about a different kind of opera.
When the TOL is not a guest at the major international festivals (e.g. Lucerne Festival, Musikfest Bremen), it plays at the Theaterhaus, Königstr. 17 in the heart of Lübeck's old town.
It picks up the audience where it stands, has its finger on the pulse of the times in its plays and actively involves the audience. This, coupled with high artistic quality, makes for an entertaining and fulfilling musical theatre experience for young and old alike.
