Theatre Lübeck

Lübeck

Since its inception in 1908, Theatre Lübeck has been a cultural attraction in the Hanseatic city.

This impressive Art Nouveau edifice combines three stages in one building. In the Großes Haus, Kammerspiele and Junges Studio, guests can expect a comprehensive repertoire consisting of musical theatre, theatre of the spoken word and concerts by the Lübeck Philharmonic and choir. The entire gamut of operatic repertoire is complemented by musicals, operettas and works of musical theatre from the 20th and 21st centuries. The acting on show comprises famous dramatisations of world literature, musical drama productions as well as lavish new productions of classical drama. Added to this are regular performances by the Low German Dramatic Society, theatre for children and adolescents as well as Taschenoper Lübeck. Symphony concerts in the Music and Congress Centre as well as further concert series by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck complete the portfolio of the house.
